Thanks to all of our supporters and participants, this March has been a month to remember. Before April gets into full swing we wanted to keep you updated about what we’ve been up to these past few weeks.
On March 18th, we hosted our second annual trail run and had more than 800 participants running through the beautiful Granogue Estate. In addition, we had 30 virtual runners join in — all of who were cheered on by a very enthusiastic Vice President Joe Biden. We crushed our $20,000 fundraising goal! Make sure to check out the photo album on Facebook of the run if you haven’t already.
On March 25th, we collaborated with the Delaware 87ers at their game in Newark to auction off game-worn Beau Biden Foundation branded-jerseys. Joe Biden spoke before the crowd and emphasized how important it is to increase and expand child safety and education programs. Game-goers and parents had the chance to make their very own child ID kits. Check out our photo album from a night to remember.
Topping off the end of March is the Red Clay Regional Conference for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. Taking place from March 31st-April 1st, the conference offers sessions and programs designed to train adults to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sex abuse and neglect. The Beau Biden Foundation will be presenting during the “Steward of Children” and “Protecting Children in the Online World” sessions. With summer just around the corner it is vital to make sure that all steps are taken to keep our children safe. Sign up to attend the conference or if you can’t attend, make a donation to the Beau Biden Foundation to expand our programs. We hope to see you there!
For our parents, make sure you read our checklist on what to look for when picking summer camps and youth programs!
