As Attorney General of Delaware, Beau was committed to fighting to protect children who were victims of neglect or abuse. His life’s passion was to protect the most vulnerable among us, and he believed we all have a moral obligation to stand up and speak out for children who were being abused.

Beau also had a passion for running. After long days at the state’s attorney general, Beau found time to hit the trails, log some miles, and use the opportunity to spend quiet moments reflecting on his day and work as a public servant.

Today, the Beau Biden Foundation continues Beau’s mission to protect the children of Delaware by working in schools and community centers to ensure adults and children have the tools to prevent child abuse.

Last year’s race has more than 500 runners — including Beau’s friends from the Department of Justice, his fellow members from the Delaware National Guard, and his closest friends. Close to $6,000 was raised for the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children.

This year we are partnering with PledgeReg so that our runners and volunteers can help to fundraise for the Beau Biden Foundation while training for this race. Our goal is to raise $20,000 from runners and their social networks – funds that will help us expand our programming across Delaware. Not able to join us for the race? Consider making a donation and helping us hit our goal: https://www.pledgereg.com/beau

Make sure you join us this year. Stand up. Speak out. Run hard.
