Five children will die from abuse today; 1 in 10 children are molested by the time they reach 18 years of age.
If hearing this sad reality makes you want to help, you’re in the right place.
We’re hard at work in Sussex County. Our partnerships in Sussex County ensure adults know how to recognize and report child abuse. We’ve worked with schools and our favorite, Camp Barnes, to empower children to stand up and stop bullying.
The Foundation has trained every educator and professional in the Indian River and Cape Henlopen school districts. They now have the tools they need to stop and prevent child abuse — at no cost to the districts. We have provided workshops for the staff and volunteers at the Children’s Beach House to better protect the children in their care. We work with many youth-serving organizations in Sussex County in our Shield of Protection®.
Please join us this year as we again gather to celebrate and continue Beau’s commitment to protecting children and confronting abuse.
