Will you chip in today to provide a trusted companion to a child with intellectual disabilities?
Over the next few weeks, 300 adults (counselors and volunteers at a summer camp for children with Down Syndrome) need to be screened, vetted, and trained to keep children safe from abuse and neglect.
Before camp starts, volunteers need to be trained to help kids readjust to life after a year of isolation and learning online. They need to be background checked and taught how to recognize and report child abuse.
Training and vetting 300 volunteers is expensive. We have a goal of raising $5,400 by March 31st. Will you step up to be the shield a child needs and make a secure gift today?
